ALLEGRETTO WAVE™ Eye-Q Speed Precision Better Vision
The Excimer Laser is one of the greatest inventions in ophthalmology.
No other device has provided patients the opportunity to reduce or eliminate their dependency on glasses and contacts as precise as excimer lasers.
One question that should be raised prior to your surgery is whether the laser being used is the newest in laser vision correction technology.
The older version of this laser which is Allegretto wave has the best FDA results ever achieved. You will be astonished with our laser which treats 2 Diopters of myopia less than 3 seconds…
The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Excimer Laser with the ALLEGRETTO WAVE Analyzer and ALLEGRETTO WAVE Topolyzer provides the most advanced laser vision technology available to date, which was designed to provide patients the greatest opportunity to achieve the best possible quality of vision and enjoy the benefits of laser vision correction.
The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Eyetracker
Speed Precision Better Vision
Not all eyetrackers are created equally.
If your eye twitches faster or at the same speed as the eyetracker then the eyetracker may not be able to get the appropriate readings of the movement of the eye. In turn, the laser may not be able to place the right pulse of the laser in the appropriate section of the cornea because of the lack of information.
The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Excimer Laser encompasses both a 400Hz eyetracker with the ability to react at 3ms. This optimizes the ability of each pulse being placed on the appropriate spot on the cornea reducing erroneous misplaced pulses of the laser more common on older laser technology.
EYE-TRACKER TECHNOLOGY ALLEGRETTO WAVE EYETRACKER
Slow or older lasers work on the same principle. Although the eye tracker can see the eye moving, it is too slow to react and may miss the targeted area of the cornea.
Speed Precision Better Vision
The basis for successful treatment of visual disorders is an accurate diagnosis. Working with the ALLEGRO Topolyzer means utilizing an ideal device to support the decision-making process for customized laser vision correction.
The ALLEGRO Topolyzer with its corresponding T-CAT software has been specifically designed to measure and generate high resolution treatment data for eyes with severe irregularities.
With an extraordinarily high resolution of the cornea resulting from 22,000 measuring points and a large placid disc, the ALLEGRO Topolyzer is an accurate tool for the preparation of refractive surgery.
Speed Precision Better Vision
The successful treatment of vision disorders requires accurate diagnosis. As the first company worldwide in the industry to perform wavefront guided treatments on the human eye, WaveLight has accumulated a vast experience in the clinical application and integrated these experiences in their product line.
Based on the Tscherning Principle the ALLEGRETTO WAVE Analyzer provides precise data for treating higher order aberrations. Intended areas of application are: reducing aberrations initially caused by LASIK surgery. Reduce or even eliminate night vision problems after LASIK surgery. Increase the predictability of LASIK surgery outcomes. The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Analyzer is a powerful new diagnostic tool for decision making and planning of LASIK surgery as well as to recognize higher order aberrations which influences the outcome of the refractive treatment. The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Analyzer is also a research tool, which can be used to better understand the inner workings of the eye and to improve treatment nomograms.
All-Laser Lasik No Blade, No Cutting
IntraLase Lasik is the most sophisticated technology available today. INTRALASE ® eye surgery is more predictable, more precise and ultimately safer than the traditional approach commonly used.
Prior to the bladeless LASIK procedure, doctors created corneal flaps with an instrument called a Microkeratome – which utilizes a metal blade.
We are the only centre in Cyprus to use intralase to make the corneal flap.
HOW THE INTRALASE METHOD WORKS
Unlike mechanical instruments, IntraLase technology is uniquely able to program the dimensions of your flap based on what’s best for your eye. Then the IntraLase laser creates your flap from below the surface of the cornea—without ever cutting it. How?
- Ultra–fast pulses of laser light position microscopic bubbles at a precise depth determined by the doctor.
- The laser light passes harmlessly through your cornea. Then the laser creates rows of these bubbles just beneath your corneal surface as it moves back and forth across your eye in a uniform plane.
- Next, the IntraLase laser stacks bubbles around your corneal diameter to create the edges of your flap. These bubbles are stacked at an angle that is determined by the doctor and is individualized to the way your eye is shaped.
- The process takes only about 15 seconds from start to finish—it’s quiet and it’s comfortable.
- The doctor then gently lifts the flap to allow for the second step of your LASIK treatment, with the Allegretto 400Hz Eye-Q Excimer Laser. When treatment is complete, the flap easily “locks” back into position and rapidly begins to heal.
UNIQUELY PRECISE & SAFE
The computer-guided INTRALASE ® FS laser is the most sophisticated and accurate system available today for the first step of LASIK, and this enables us to provide remarkable predictability and precision. It is this precision that makes laser vision correction enriched with INTRALASE ® one of the safest forms of surgical vision correction available today.
PREDICTABLY BETTER VISION
INTRALASE ® is rapidly becoming known as the key ingredient to optimizing visual results in laser vision correction surgery. This technology makes every laser vision correction procedure more predictable. Comparative clinical studies confirm that more patients achieve 20/20 vision or better with the INTRALASE ® than with the use of the microkeratome.
LESS INVASIVE APPROACH – FEWER COMPLICATIONS
Clinical studies have proven that by replacing the traditional mechanical device with a beam of light, the INTRALASE ® FS laser dramatically reduces the risk of complications, in fact, more patients may now be candidates for laser vision correction due to this unique level of precision that was previously unavailable. Studies have shown the incidence of dry eye symptoms may be reduced with the INTRALASE ® FS laser. Many INTRALASE ® surgeons report that the need to do a touch-up procedure (commonly called an “enhancement”) is significantly reduced.
In a recently conducted study, most patients preferred the visual outcome in their eye treated with the INTRALASE ® FS laser when compared to their other eye, which was treated with the traditional mechanical device.
NASA has approved the use of advanced LASIK for use on astronauts, LASIK Joins the Military – For the past four years, army officials in America have been performing eye surgery, such as INTRALASE LASIK on qualified soldiers, about 10,000 to 12,000 combatants a year. Keeping track of prescription glasses and contact lenses on the battlefield could be a thing of the past.
